GLBT Québec is proud to announce that Pride celebrations in Quebec City will be held as usual during Labour Day week end, from Friday September 2nd to Sunday September 4th.
Housing – 15% less!!! Tourists visiting Quebec City during the Pride will benefit from a special Arc-en-ciel (Rainbow) rate of 15% less than the regular cost of a room at very comfortable Pride official gay friendly Hotel PUR located in Nouvo St-Roch borough. Just mention the Pride Rainbow and you'll get a 15% reduction!!!
Programming 2011 Quebec City Pride Festival theme is France! The main stage at Place d'Youville will present a very special Arc-en-ciel version of the great show Pépé goes français on Saturday Night and Montreal-based look-a-like drag queen Kate Cooper will become the famous born-in-Quebec French gay icon Mylène Farmer on Sunday night. These performances will be preceded by the finale of the singing contest Concours de la relève (Saturday) and a tribute to the most famous French Divas with one of the greatest drag queens in Quebec City, Dory, and her friends. St-Jean Street will be closed and reserved to pedestrians on Saturday Septembre 3rd. It will be delayed to Sunday Septembre 4th in case of bad weather. There will be a big Girl party on Saturday night and a Bear party on Sunday night. Details to be confirmed soon. For sure, the week end will be a non-stop party at gay bar Le Drague. We also are proud to offer a Party de filles on Saturday at the Salle Multi of the Coopérative Méduse and a bear party on Sunday night at the Bar St-Matthew's.
